Do A Little Research, Make a Little Presentation, Get Down Tonight!

Day 16, time to see what everyone's been up to !!!









Schedule for Day 16

9 AM - All gather at the Barr’d Islands Church
Coffee and refreshments

9:15 AM - Prep for presentations

12 PM - Lunch

1 PM - Participants in the workshop present their findings and ideas followed by group discussion and a tour of the Inn model room

- Intro by Elisabet Gunnarsdottir

- Colour Palettes and Patterns influenced by the "Seven Seasons" of Fogo Island

- Furnishings, Room Designs and Textures

- Lamps, Stools and Wall Fixtures

- Room Architecture, Practical Spaces and Storage

7 PM - Caribbean Night at the St. Patrick's Club in Tilting
Food, Music and Dancing all night long - Mojitos, Salt fish Snacks (Michelle LeBlanc), Buffet style dinner of Chili with homemade biscuits (Tilting Catering Ladies), Live entertainment (Carol Penton & others)


The final presentation was a big success and thrilling for those people who were either heavily involved in the whole process or simply dropping by to see what the 16 participants had accomplished. Much can be said about the tremendous amount of input and inspiration given to this group from the local community and all the guest lecturers. And in the end it certainly shows. Inn architect, Todd Saunders, was able to take in the final presentation and he seemed overjoyed and excited about the work that was produced over the last two weeks.
